IN YOUR HOME?AT A GYM/TRAINING STUDIO?IN THE PARK? AT THE BEACH?The choice is yours. I train my clients in a variety of locations. For some home is easiest for them due to time constrictions, For others they enjoy the outdoors while others prefer the gym environment. For some we use a mixture of all.
People use personal trainers for a variety of reasons:I didnt know what was best for meI didnt have a clue where to startI had no motivationExercise was always boring in the pastI've always lost motivation on my ownI havent the first clue about diet and nutritionI have a an injury that i didnt want to make worseI have several medical conditionsSound familiar?Personal training is regarded as the most effective way to reach your health and fitness goals. For some people simply going for a run each night works and for others cutting out the junk food works. But what if you dont like running or are no good at it? what if you have aches and pains while your doing it? or perhaps your really not sure what "junk food" is?AssessmentA personal trainer will always perform an assessment of you. To make sure you are in good enough condition to train and reach your goals. Sometimes the trainer will request that you speak to your doctor before commencing training. This is basically to get the all clear. It will also allow the trainer to design a programe suitable for you, your needs and one that will take into account and conditions that be effect your health. TrainingWell that depends on which type of personal trainer you see. Some will specialise in pilates based exercise whilst others prefer a more boot camp / army style of training. Then you have the others who do a little bit of everything.Which type of training would you like to try? This is very important when choosing a trainer. Always ask, check out their websites etc. From fitness or weights sessions in the gym, to workouts on the beach or in the pool/sea. The variety of sessions a trainer can provide is endless. Many people like to have a structured programme where the same 2 or 3 sessions are repeated for several months. This enables you to learn exercises well and track progression easily. However some people find it much better if every session is different. New exercises each week are great motivation for them and as long as theyre working hard and not doing the same boring stuff they are happy happy happy. If you are not sure what you like, then make sure you pick a trainer who has a wide variety of experience in many sports/ types of training, instead of someone who specialises in one type. The goal of a trainer is to do everything he or she can, to motivate and educate you so that you can reach your goals. From ensuring you dont over do it and cause injury in your first few weeks to taking you on shopping trips to the super market to show you how to tell which foods are good and which ones are bad.
How much does it cost?
Individual 1hr sessions £305 x 1hr sessions £14010 x 1 hr sessions £250All prices include gym fee's, travel expenses and all other related costs
AUS Training Clients
I would just like to say a huge personal thanks to all of you that ive had the pleasure (and pain) of training over the last 12 months. I have been lucky enough to go to work each day without thinking of it as work thanls to the effort and comitement of you guys. Many of you are very good friends now and i look forward to hearing news from you and meeting again, when i return to the Australia in the future.I am sure you will all train hard and with impeciable technique. If the voice that has been engrained in your head nagging "straight elbows" isnt enough, then just remember your only half a world away, a cosmologically insignificant distance. Train hard and eat well! Nick
